Below: Murphys Dry Goods at 100 W. Independence St. This photo was taken before 1914. Descendents of this family have a funeral home in Scottdale today. The shop was later taken over by Mollie Fretts. Thats the Fretts family at left in a 1914 photo taken in front of the building below. The streets had not yet been bricked. The Integra Bank occupies this site today. |
